The implementation of major projects in the field of agriculture was discussed in Almaty region
The head of the region, Amandyk Batalov, stressed the special importance of the meeting, because Zhetysu is primarily an agricultural region, therefore it is in urgent need of modern moisture-saving technologies necessary for agriculture and production. In this regard, he assured of providing comprehensive support for the project.
Kevin Mish, General Director of Valmont Industries for CIS countries, spoke briefly about the project of Valley Kusto GB BV. He noted that the company is interested in building a plant in Kazakhstan. "Until today, we have comprehensively studied the market in the country. Now our team is developing a project development plan for this plant. It is still being considered in which industrial zone it will be more profitable to place the plant. I think we will come to a common decision in the near future. The state provides support in solving financial and licensing issues," K. noted. Mish, expressing gratitude to the head of the region for the warm welcome and support. He also said that the company intends to train and then hire local specialists.
By the way, the capacity of this plant will be 1 thousand "Valley" machines of frontal and circular irrigation per year.
The head of the region A.Batalov, focusing on the specifics of the Almaty region, noted that 18-20% of agricultural production in the republic falls on Zhetysu. At the same time, the length of irrigation networks is 17 thousand km.
- For example, sugar beet has been sown on 16 thousand hectares this year, in the future, on behalf of the President, it is planned to increase its area to 52 thousand hectares and then produce 2 million tons of sugar beet. When growing this and other crops, we must economically use water reserves and introduce new technologies. Then we will be able to increase productivity by 3-4 times," A. Batalov stressed.
He also recalled that the region borders with China, which opens up great logistical opportunities. At the same time, he added that all the infrastructure necessary for the plant will be brought to the facility. These are water, gas, and electricity supply networks, and a road will be laid.
After discussing general issues, both sides decided to proceed to a more specific comprehensive discussion of the project and determine all the necessary details.
Then the head of the region discussed a number of issues with representatives of the largest Russian company TechnoNICOL.
CEO of TechnoNICOL-Central Asia LLP Niyaz Suleymanov reported on the problems that need to be solved for the successful implementation of an important project. By the way, 43 billion tenge of investments have been attracted for the construction of a plant for the production of thermal insulation building materials, which will be located in the industrial zone "Kairat" in Talgar district, 200 new jobs are planned to be created. During the implementation of the project, the investor expressed a desire to cooperate closely with the SEC "Zhetysu" on an ongoing basis. It is also important for the implementation of the project to accelerate the deadlines for passing the state examination. Due to the fact that the industrial facility will consume a large amount of gas, it is necessary to support the local authority in the preparation of appropriate documents to regulate this issue and ensure access to the power grid.
In turn, the head of the region Amandyk Batalov noted that one should not neglect the landscaping and landscaping of the territory around the plant. He instructed his first deputy L. Turlashov to hold a meeting next week with the participation of monopolists in such important areas as water, gas, electricity, as well as communications and the construction of a railway branch in order to provide assistance on the principle of "one window".
Then he met with investors involved in the implementation of the project "Zhetysu Koy" of the world-famous German company "Baumann".
On behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, all the necessary conditions are being created for investors, the successful implementation of this project is of particular importance for the economy of the region and even the country. This unique plant specializing in the processing of small cattle meat and working on new technologies will be located on the territory of the Ili district.
Also, the heads of the farms "Duysenbinov" and "Nam" from the Eskeldinsky district Aydin Duysenbinov and Nikolai German said that with the support of the state they intend to open a large dairy farm for 200 heads, as well as a large vegetable storage for 1100 tons, which, thanks to new technologies, will allow to preserve the freshness of vegetables for a long time in the off-season. In this case, they also intend to enlist the support of the SEC "Zhetysu".
Amandyk Batalov noted that in 2014, milk production in the region was only 14-15%, now with the support of such farms, its volume has already reached 30%. And this is not the limit. It is also important to support the construction of a modern warehouse, which will contribute to the liberalization of vegetable prices and the prevention of product shortages. For example, two turners built in the Panfilovsky district for storing corn had a positive impact on the development of corn farming. "Therefore, we need such projects, and we will provide them with comprehensive support," the head of the Almaty region A.Batalov summed up.
