The event is organized by the Tourism Department of the Almaty region, the purpose of the information tour is to get acquainted with the Great Silk Road, which is a unique historical monument of human civilization.
The first object of the visit was the reserve-museum “Tanbaly " located in the Zhambyl district. It is here that you can touch the history. There are enough petroglyphs carved in the picket technique with stone or metal tools here.
According to the guide, there are more than 5,000 petroglyphs in this area. The most famous of them, the sun-headed god, who was the symbol of the international vocal competition held in Almaty – is "Asia dauysy".
The participants of the tour also visited the hot springs of the Uyghur district, where there are up to one hundred and forty mineral waters, all of them of different composition. There are many recreation areas and sanatoriums in the area of hot springs.
One of the main attractions of the city of Zharkent in the Panfilov district — the Zharkent Mosque, built without a single nail, did not remain aside. The mosque resembles a Chinese pagoda. Despite the fact that more than a hundred years have passed, it has retained its unrequited beauty. An architectural and art museum has been created on the basis of the mosque complex, where 525 exhibits are collected-clothes, household items, utensils of residents of the border region of the last century.
Note: it was in this mosque that the plots of many historical films were filmed. In addition, thousands of tourists visit it every year, admiring the architectural monument.
Kolsai lakes, Yasnevaya Grove and Charyn Canyon struck with their beauty.
Having reached Kolsai-1 in the Kegensky district, the participants saw bright picturesque landscapes. There are colorful colors of nature around, and the air is filled with the aromas of mountain herbs, majestic fir trees flaunt on the high slopes of the mountains, and you can't take your eyes off the azure lake.
And the Charyn Canyon struck with its natural architecture and unusual landscapes, as if from another planet, fascinate and captivate. It is here that the realization of how rich Zhetysu is in history comes. Looking at the " Valley of Castles”, all the paths that our ancestors walked are recreated before our eyes. Along this whole route there were caravans full of goods, mainly silk and spices, the length of one was 25 kilometers.
- For the third day we have been traveling along one of the segments of the Great Silk Road.
