The Corporate Fund “Courage to be the first”, the organizer of the annual “Almaty Marathon”, held the first half marathon in the capital for sports enthusiasts on June 19, 2022. Participants in the running competition challenged themselves at distances of 21.1 km and 10 km, as well as 10 km of Nordic walking. The route of the race was located along the popular architectural sites and impressive sights. So, runners were able to enjoy pleasant views of the metropolis. Participation in the half marathon was an excellent opportunity for residents and guests of the capital to become part of the sports culture and support the development of a healthy lifestyle.

"It was a great honor and responsibility for the Heart Center to act as a partner of such a large-scale event. Active sport is the prevention of many diseases. The doctors of our Center know firsthand about the benefits of running for the heart and the need to take care of physical health. Therefore, in our Center we have developed a special check-up program "Sportsman" for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases in the early stages. For our medical organization, the support of the half marathon was a contribution to the engagement of the population to a healthy lifestyle and to the development of mass sports," says Tatyana Ivanova-Razumova, medical director of the clinic.

The participants of the race not only replenished the piggy bank of their achievements, but also were able to win a free medical examination. As a prize partner, the Heart Center gave away 3 diagnostic check-up packages that include a full examination at the clinic. The draw of prizes was held among registered participants live on the Instagram social network on June 16, 2022, together with the organizers of Nur-Sultan Half Marathon. Gift certificates for the medical examination were solemnly presented to the winners of the drawing on the day of the race.
