The doctors of the Presidential Clinic held a master class in Atyrau on June 28-29
At the Atyrau Regional Cardiology Center, Deputy Director of Surgery Yermagambet Kuatbayev and arrhythmologist Shalkar Smagulov successfully held a master class. The following operations were successfully performed:
- Pacemaker implantation
- Radiofrequency ablation in case of cardiac arrhythmia
- Coronary artery bypass grafting on a functional heart
- Coronary artery bypass grafting in combination with mitral valve repair
The patients are doing well and are on their way to recovery.
In addition, doctors consulted more than 50 patients, analyzed clinical cases and discussed the possibility of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) for acute heart/respiratory failure, particularly in patients with COVID-19. The idea of collaboration in future was discussed at the master class.
