Anyone can visit the exhibition to get acquainted with the books of the First President "Tauelsizdik dauiri", "Uly Dala Presidenti", "Akyl-Parasat kitaby", "Bilik sabaktastygy" and learn about the history of the holiday.
The proposal to introduce such a holiday date as the day of the first President in Kazakhstan was announced in December 2011. Then, at the plenary session of the Parliament of the Republic, a law was adopted, according to which the law "on holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was amended. A holiday was established to celebrate the outstanding services of the First President of Kazakhstan to the people. On December 1, cultural events are held throughout Kazakhstan, the main goal of which is to strengthen peace and harmony in the country. Some national events are also timed to coincide with the holiday. For example, on December 1, 2016, a commemorative 10-thousand-dollar bill was put into circulation and the official opening of the new settlement of Nurkent in the Almaty region took place. Since March 20, 2019, the capital of our country officially bears the name of the First President – Nur-Sultan.
