As the Governor of the region noted, the Interactive map reflects the initiatives of Elbasy and the head of state, which are aimed at ensuring transparency and increasing access to information. The map provides full access to the budget funds of socially significant objects. This project was launched in November 2019.

Amandyk Batalov indicated that the main goal of the project "Interactive map of open budgets" is to reduce corruption risks in the procedure of spending budget funds by implementing public control. Meanwhile, this project is aimed at ensuring transparency in the activities of state bodies, as well as ensuring the availability of information about allocated budget funds.
That is, through public control, every resident of the Almaty region can access the site "Publicbudget.kz" and by selecting the area of interest, direction, organization-can find out about the state budget spending on a particular project.
With the help of the "interactive map", every resident of the Almaty region can see how, what and how much budget money is spent, and can also monitor the transparency of budget spending and influence its development. In addition, using this card, each resident has the opportunity to leave a review (comment) or complaint about a particular object.
In turn, the coordinators of this project in Almaty region noted that this project allows to increase the level of self-awareness and involvement of citizens in solving problems and issues at the level of regional significance.
In General, the Interactive map of open budgets is a unique project that has no analogues in its significance and was created primarily to simplify access to information and improve the quality of life of the population.
